Cutting expenses is a great way to improve your financial status. Besides saving for big things, you should also try to think on how to save on smaller activities. As you add them up, they will help you reduce your expenses. Here are some ideas:

  1. Pay your bills on time.
  2. Eat more at home and less out.
  3. Take your food to work.
  4. Look for generic products at the supermarket, they tend to be less expensive.
  5. Shop around for insurance rates. You won’t know how much more you can save and still have the same coverage until compare!
  6. Avoid buying ‘Dry Clean only’ clothes.
  7. Forgo the ice cream store and pop popcorn at home.
  8. Rent DVDs instead of going to the movies.
  9. Identify those TV Channels that you always watch and ask your provider for most economic cable package.
  10. Avoid the use of credit cards!
  11. Don’t let yourself get influenced by what your friends are buying. At the end, the only one that will be paying your debt is you!
